Zarcero

Mountain town of Zarcero with the church facing the main square.

The main square has lots of fanciful sculpted bushes. The book called these arches Art Deco.

This one appears to be a Dinosaur.

This one looks like a bird.

This one is a vine covered gazebo with the church in the background.

This appears to be a monster of some kind, but it could be almost anything.

Faces

A painting on the ceiling of the Church interior.

Vaulted Ceiling with lots of gold trim.

Pretty gold chandelier.

Looking toward the front, this is the ceiling and painting over the altar.

Pretty tiled floor.

A very decorative sarcophagus or coffin, probably for a figure of a saint. Since it was empty, I took a picture of it.

Gothic arched side door and windows.

Mural in the square in front of the church. The mural is made from irregularly shaped ceramic tiles. This is an ox drawn cart. Below is more of the mural. The artisans were children.

I think I've seen pictures of that garden before. Looks like a fun place to wander.
