Sterling K.

He's here and he made it just in the nick of time. Sterling K. (the K is for me and grandpa Kay) was born on Wednesday Sept 10th at 11:26 pm (yes Nancy, we avoided Sept. 11th as his birthday!) He was 8 lbs on the money and 20 inches long. He is a happy healthy boy that is eating and sleeping very well. And I am doing very well. No back problems like the last time. And we are so happy to have grandma Craig here helping us. She even brought the Disney song book and had the boys marching around the table last night. The boys both love their new brother and Walker in particular enjoys taking care of "Cosmo" as he likes to call him.

Harvest Time

You reap what you sew. That's what Dad always said. Well, this week we have been "reaping" corn and lots of it. We've had it for lunch and dinner for most meals. I have yet to discover how to work it into breakfast. Zucchini on the other hand is easy to work into any meal. I have even been going so far as to leave BIG zucchini's on my neighbors doorstep. And she was so kind as to bring us some zucchini bread the next day! Now if I could just figure out how to "reap" this baby in my tummy I'd be a happy camper. Actually, I am being induced on Wednesday if he doesn't come before then. So I don't have much to complain about. We are excited to be adding another boy to the family!

The boys are really excited that Grandma Craig is coming to visit. We were getting her room ready the other night and as soon as we were done Walker ran into the kitchen and started laying out a bunch of food. When I asked what he was doing he said he was getting Grandma a snack because she might get hungry while she's here. As you can see from the picture he got out cheese, home-made granola, popcorn, eggs, a kiwi and some water. I was quite proud of him for thinking ahead!

Well, wish us luck on Wednesday!
