Arctic Blast, Facial Corsets + Curtains

This week we found the best thing ever on our doorstep. No, not a Red Racer Be Be Gun, but a box full of hand-me downs from the fabulous Emily! (we love hand-me downs because then I don't have to go shopping for the boys clothes!) Anyway, who knew Emily had such a fun collection of hats, baby hats that is. And just in time for our North West Arctic Blast. Sterling has been wearing this green one and I could help but notice what a great facial corset it is. Now, I know the camera adds about 10 lbs. but look at these before and after photos....AMAZING. I think I'll have to pick one up for myself!

As you can see we've been enjoying being snowed in. We've received over a foot of snow this last week. It's been fun to make a toboggan run on our front lawn. We are suppose to get more snow Christmas Eve and Christmas Day....we're really excited to keep the good times rolling!

A friend of mine is an interior designer and has been throwing some fun projects my way. She asked if I could make some curtains with this fancy fabric and some fun ball trim. They were actually quite fun to make and I just may have to do some fancy curtains for my own home one of these days!
This lower picture is Sterling and Truman is the top one. I thought it was fun to compare. I thought Truman was a big boy at the time but I think we have a clear winner here.
And this last picture is for you Austin. My boys are loving watching an old "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" video from grandma's house. As you can see, they have made themselves into Donatello or is it MichaelAngelo? And Nancy, you'll notice in the background that I am one of those mothers who lets their kids decorate the tree. In fact, I didn't even touch our tree and lets just say it has a lot of character :) Merry Christmas everyone!

Sterling the line-backer

I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving break. We had a great time with Ben's family but certainly missed your company. This year everyone was able to make it for the break, including Jason and his new bride Andrea. They are living in Spain right now so it was fun to hear about their adventures.
Ben was able to bless Sterling over the break and was lucky to have each of his brothers in the circle. As you can see, when it came to holding the baby in the circle they were happy to have so many hands to hold this kid up. He really is growing fast. Can you believe how much he's changed mom!

We also took some pictures of the whole family. As you can see, it's my kid who is making faces in the picture with grandma (Marilyn's mom)

The picture on the bike is our Puj Tub delivery rigg job. Ben and I wanted to ride our bikes to the UPS store and so we strapped the Tubs onto the bike trailer. It was a fun outing.

I hope you're all well, and I expect to see some pictures of the pies and mashed potatoes.

"Look at those cheeks!"

So on Sunday I was sitting next to the isle in Sunday school. And as people were walking into class they would say to me, "Look at those cheeks!" "Well would you look at those cheeks!" "That kid has got some cheeks!" "Oh, I just want to kiss those cheeks!" At first I thought, okay people, enough with the cheek comments. But after looking at his pictures from this week I am singing the same tune, "just look at those cheeks!" I weighed him today with his clothes on and he was 17 lbs. And yes, he's only 9 weeks old people.

As you can see he is still enjoying his Puj Tub

Terms of Endearment

So I was talking to the boys the other day about "love" and what it means when we say we love someone. I asked Truman if he loved Heavenly Father? He replied, "I love Heavenly Father. I wrestle him!" So if you ever get taken to the ground and wrestled by Truman know that it's because he loves you.

Here is Sterling in his Puj BootiesWalker is a huge fan of his little brother. It is so nice to have a little helper around.

The Boys had fun dressing up in some of their daddies old Halloween costumes.

Walker is not yet 5 years old, and yet he has been fishing about 4 times, duck hunting 2 times and even Elk hunting (no elk though, just the dung) Recently Grandpa Richardson introduced the boys to face painting. No, not football fan face painting but camo face paint. They both LOVED it. It really was harder to see them in the bushes when they were hiding in their full camo gear with the face paint.

Truman is quite excited about being able to ride his bike all by himself. Ben is already talking about taking the training wheels off. I told him to do me a favor and leave them on until the boy is at least 3!
