Arctic Blast, Facial Corsets + Curtains

This week we found the best thing ever on our doorstep. No, not a Red Racer Be Be Gun, but a box full of hand-me downs from the fabulous Emily! (we love hand-me downs because then I don't have to go shopping for the boys clothes!) Anyway, who knew Emily had such a fun collection of hats, baby hats that is. And just in time for our North West Arctic Blast. Sterling has been wearing this green one and I could help but notice what a great facial corset it is. Now, I know the camera adds about 10 lbs. but look at these before and after photos....AMAZING. I think I'll have to pick one up for myself!

As you can see we've been enjoying being snowed in. We've received over a foot of snow this last week. It's been fun to make a toboggan run on our front lawn. We are suppose to get more snow Christmas Eve and Christmas Day....we're really excited to keep the good times rolling!

A friend of mine is an interior designer and has been throwing some fun projects my way. She asked if I could make some curtains with this fancy fabric and some fun ball trim. They were actually quite fun to make and I just may have to do some fancy curtains for my own home one of these days!
This lower picture is Sterling and Truman is the top one. I thought it was fun to compare. I thought Truman was a big boy at the time but I think we have a clear winner here.
And this last picture is for you Austin. My boys are loving watching an old "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" video from grandma's house. As you can see, they have made themselves into Donatello or is it MichaelAngelo? And Nancy, you'll notice in the background that I am one of those mothers who lets their kids decorate the tree. In fact, I didn't even touch our tree and lets just say it has a lot of character :) Merry Christmas everyone!

I'm sitting here with Mom and Dad and we are chuckling at your cute chubba chubba. Mom thinks your milk is full of cream. And we love your tree too|! Wish we could spend Christmas with you and your cute boys, oh and we also love the curtains, I just might have to copy them, they don't call me Fancy Nancy for nothin!

Katie, you are so inventive! Facial corsets! What will you think of next? And you sure know how to make tons of snow look like actual fun. Your boys are so cute! And great job on the curtains. I should throw a little interior design work your way myself.

I'm glad you enjoyed them! The little BYU hat (which is probably too little for Stirling already!) was a gift Steve bought for Elliot while he was still in utero. We love to share with our cute cousins.

Man, I haven't checked the blog in a long time! The boys look great. Glad they're learning the TMNT way. Purple is Donatello's color. Hope we get to see you all sooner rather than later!
