Birds at Zoo Ave

Scarlet Macaws. This place is a rehabilitation zoo. These Macaws weren't in any type of enclosure. I guess they just knew this was home and they weren't leaving.

Bright green and turquoise Macaws

Golden Macaw
Mulicolored Macaw

Peacock
Collared Aracari. This bird resembles a Toucan, but the book had a picture like this one and called it a Collared Aracari

This one I don't know the name of.

This one I don't know the name of either, but there were a pair, and this one is the male. He spent the time we were watching putzing around with the nest while the female waited quietly on a branch of the tree. Notice his large yellow beak with the bulb on it.

This is the female of the pair.

This one is a crested crane.

This one is a wood stork like we saw in the wild at Manuel Antonio

Swan

Yellow Parrot
Green Parrot
