A Hike in Parque Tapanti

The path was outlined in moss covered rocks.
Tiny blue flowers growing on a downed log.
Tiny yellow orchids. These orchid plants grow in other trees.
A tiny Anthurium growing in another tree.
A very large black butterfly
Pretty pink berries.
More tiny yellow orchids
A large furry fiddle head formation in the middle of a big fern plant.
Close up, these fiddle head formations looked a lot like the sloths, furry and brown with small heads.
This was one of the fern plants without the fiddle head formation.
One of the birds we saw.
Another bird had ruffled his feathers. This one was black with yellow tail feathers and a colorful beak.
This was a scary looking insect on the wall of the women's restroom!
Tiny pink flowers. This was a nice hike for me, not too steep, but I was still glad to have my new trecking pole.
