A Morning Walk in Our Neighborhood

Posted by PicasaThe tree out in front or our house broke out in yellow blossoms. The next picture is down the street a ways, a tree with purple blossoms. There are several little shops in the neighborhood, I like the onions strung together and hung in the front of the shop. Around the west side of the temple is the little distributuion center and this is that shop with the temple spire in the background. You enter from inside the parking lot of the temple and not from the street where the picture is taken. A little further behind is the chapel where our ward meets. This is the side view of the chapel with a vacant lot in front, also owned by the church. Note the green bananas on one of the trees. Further down the street to the north is an elementary school and then a photo of children on the soccer field by the school. They are all dressed in dark shorts and white shirts. To the west and north of the temple is the sign for Calle Vista Linda which takes you down past the row of houses in the next picture. Part of the Vista Linda is the valley where the airport is. Coming back toward home is the Club to which the Porters belong and where they go swimming for exercise. Then we come to the wall around the cemetary. I posted pictures of that some time ago. Further along the wall more toward home and the temple, you can see the temple spire in the background of a closeup of the cemetary wall. A neighborhood chicken and a neighborhood car wash round out the morning scenes from our neighborhood.
