Basilica de la Imaculada Concepcion, Heredia

This basilica was built in 1797 and it's thick walls have withstood many earthquakes.
The bells in the towers were made and delivered here from Cuzco, Peru.
Door mat announcing the name of the church. In the guide book the name doesn't have the "n" so I don't know which is correct, inm or just im.
Stained glass window over one of the side doors. See if you can figure out which Bible story is depicted.
We think this one is the Savior being laid to rest.
This is the same window with it's whole door.
This is the front altar with the stained glass window behind.
 Pews and tile floor.
Organ loft which is located over the main doors into the building.  I guess the doors and the organ are located at the back of the church and the main altar is at the front.
Ceiling, pillars and one of the chandeliers.
Close up of one of the chandiliers.  I like the fleur de lis gold trim.

Love the stained glass, Mom! That first one looks like the Garden of Gethsemane to me. And I agree that the second one looks like the entombment. Thanks for sharing. :)
