Fortunately this was a short and well lit tunnel so I could see that the Pitvipers were not at home when we went through their tunnel or I may have turned back!

Self explanatory! Actually we have felt very welcome here, like people in general like Americans.
Pura Vida! is a local expression. Literally it means pure life. But they say it for lots of things, kind of like Cool! or Sweet! or Great! You get the picture. It is just pure Costa Rican.
