So I am back from my trip to New York! It was fabulously fun and very snowy. I went for a big press event that had editors from all the major magazines, tv producers from shows like Ellen, Rachael Ray, Oprah, etc. and Celebrities! But wouldn't you know it, the event was canceled because of all the snow. But lucky for me I was already in the city and so I just had to make do at H&M, Broadway, Time Square, Rockefeller Center, Etc.
My Friend Dianna took a bus up from DC (for $3...crazy!) and so we braved the cold weather together. It ended up being a very fun trip and a much needed break. And lucky for me the weather cleared up just in time for me to catch my flight home. On the day when 95% of flights out of JFK were canceled my flight took off.....what luck! It was great fun but I missed Ben and the boys so I was happy to come home.
I know how much you guys love a food report, so my two favorites were Amma and PrimeBurger. Amma is an Indian Restaurant and since it was Restaurant Week we got the full treatment for a great price. Salad, 2 appetizers (shrimp with some yummy sauce and chicken patte), dinner (chicken korma) and desert (mango cheesecake...yum!) Very fun and a great ambiance! And PrimeBurger is a place that has been unchanged for the last $45 years. We went for breakfast and I had a veggie omlet and some fresh OJ. And as you can see from the pictures they have unique seating. And apparently it is a favorite of Sarah Jessica Parker (she was on Oprah eating at PrimeBurger)(us at PrimeBurger..notice the good trays)
And the Broadway play we saw was called "In The Heights" (this is a picture of the set...looks kind of real) It was VERY clean and a great story...and even funny. I would recommend seeing it if you're in town.
(Hot Chocolate @ City Bakery....we dubbed it Chocolate Soup!)

So good to hear about your trip. Glad you made it home safely. I did read in the paper that those eastern storms were kind of over rated and things weren't as bad as they thought. Sorry though that the thing you went for was cancelled. But glad you had fun anyways.
Katie,
If you were a Spice Girl, I've no doubt you'd be Posh.
Love,
me :)
Looks like a great trip, I won't lie, I'm totally jealous and scheming to plan a trip to N.Y. with my friends, we'll see, but looks like a lot of fun!
I want to go to New York. Some day.
I particularly like the last picture posted. Good job.
