Saturday night my kids were discussing what they wanted to be when they grow up. Dallas couldn't pinpoint the exact career he wanted, but did say that he wanted to be a Dad. He then told Hallie that she would be a Mom too. Her reply was, "No, I'm going to stay here with Mom and Dad. And then when they die I will take care of the house until they are resurrected." Dallas told her that she had to get married and be a Mom. Then after some thought he declared, "Well I guess you don't have to. Austin is old and he isn't married."
Sorry Aus, it was too cute and funny not to share, we love you!

Harvest Time
You reap what you sew. That's what Dad always said. Well, this week we have been "reaping" corn and lots of it. We've had it for lunch and dinner for most meals. I have yet to discover how to work it into breakfast. Zucchini on the other hand is easy to work into any meal. I have even been going so far as to leave BIG zucchini's on my neighbors doorstep. And she was so kind as to bring us some zucchini bread the next day! Now if I could just figure out how to "reap" this baby in my tummy I'd be a happy camper. Actually, I am being induced on Wednesday if he doesn't come before then. So I don't have much to complain about. We are excited to be adding another boy to the family!
Well, wish us luck on Wednesday!

Waterton 85
I was looking through some old boxes at Mom and Dad's, and found a lot of old pictures. I think I should get a good scanner and digitize all these old things, because...

Must be the same spot we were at this summer, right next to that foot bridge, near the picnic table with the over-friendly squirrels. Thought I'd share it.
- there is plenty of it
- it would be fun to see
- it would clear out the garage
- it would preserve things like this picture.
